Pulling the trigger on these on Black Friday?

Building a watercooled rig next month (budget £4K ish). Just about to pull the trigger on this site on:

Phanteks Evolv X case £189.95
9900k retail £569.99

I’m not sure whether I’m thinking this though enough or falling into the Black Friday trap. Any comments?

What’s the rest of the system?
 
Not sure yet other than a 2080TI of some description. Decent ultra wide 1440p or a 4K. Say 32 or 64 GB RAM. Already got storage but will add a 1TB SSD. Plus a decent power supply.

Well, I love the case, and if I were buying new I’d probably get that CPU.

I don’t think the prices are that great, but Intel 14nm isn’t going to be cheap any time soon given the state of their situation. Nothing wrong with your selection, but the price isn’t awesome imo. Not that I think anyone will offer better than OCUK.

I built a very powerful WC system for a lot less from the MM, so second hand is worth considering.

System sounds awesome. Good luck with the build, will you post a log?
 
Thanks WantoN. I been holding off a build for forever (still running a 2600k and 780 classified) and there’s always an excuse for me not to bite the bullet ... so I’m going to just say to hell with it this time and take the bad prices on the chin.

Will be my first ever WC build (and I’m going hardline) - I will do my best to post a log!

I assumed gaming because of the 2080ti.

We’re probably thinking the same thing re: CPU if that’s the case.

OP can you confirm what the PC is for?
