A decent thread. Proper enjoying this one![]()
I've just seen the price of the 2080ti MSI Seahawk![]()
i have got to admit, i preordered a 2018ti, and in the end decided enough was enough and cancelled (gigabyte artificially gimping their windforce 2080ti to make their more expensive one stand out was the straw which broke the camels back etc)People don't like parting with money.
If the top of the range GPU was £10 there would be people saying it is a rip off and it should be £5.
I got a 1080ti instead and the £500 saving i made bought a £1300 pinball table instead.... hows that for totally illogical thinking![]()

I dont think believing NV are taking the **** on pricing of the 2080ti is just a matter of being tight to be honest esp because as of today, with DLSS and RTX still being largely an unknown entity .

You can dumb it down if you like but I was talking from a personal perspective and what my buying does. You are on an enthusiast forum in a GPU section and pulling me up about buying GPUs.... LMAO. Also, spelling isn't my strong point, neither is maths and I never feel it fair to pull people up on it (I don't recall quoting you or mentioning your name?). The thread is about a 1080Ti that is no longer being made being more expensive than when the guy bought it. This isn't uncommon and happens when stock is low.Would you like me to dumb it down a bit?
I haven't mentioned you or your purchasing once, yet you feel the need to defend and justify it? Very strange. Mind you I have seen you justifying your spending on the forum before. It seems to me that you lost the argument a while ago, so decided to personalise it, then your intellect failed, so you doubled down on personal again.
I haven't criticised your spelling either, so once again you exhibit your confusion and inability to comprehend what's going on.

If I had a partner and a family and a lot of commitments there is no way I would be able to afford any GPU.
It isn't a matter of just being tight, it's a matter of understanding what value for money is. People that don't understand that will never have any money.
I'd happily be your partner, Kaap, if only to get your GPU hand-me-downs![]()

Also, I didn't think we was arguing and was just having a discussion? I also don't do personal but reading back on a few of my posts, it might seem that way but something I am passionate about does tend to entice me in and reading others thoughts does open up for good debate.
So what is this oversupply warning from nVidia in their financial reports? I would have thought if you have ton of unsold cards in the channel, you would like them to be gone, thus lowering the prices to increase demand
Just what I was thinking too!
Overclockers gouging customers again, its discraceful. They can't do it on 20xx cards as Nvidia cut them out by pricing high. Looking on the bright side though, no excuse not to buy a 20xx lemon.
Why does everything need to be value for money, that's something people with no money say. Ugly people say beauty is on the inside etc.
It just works..
is this something your read on the internet or actually experienced? Why does everything need to be value for money, that's something people with no money say. Ugly people say beauty is on the inside etc.
Nice to see a fellow disciple of Tech Jesus, aka Steve at GamersNexus.
Well I tried to debate with civility but you just keep going on one about twaddle, so nothing more for me to say other than I will enjoy my 2080Ti and you enjoy your 580.Text?
