@Gibbo

Have you thought about doing the above card buddle with a Waterblock that the end user can fit themselves.

No as there is no margin for additional discount by doing a bundle, so the customers can just buy the card, then also buy the block.
I think OcUK is cheapest on these. :)

Now this is the price which all 2080TI should have been at not crazy £1400-£1500

and one more thing PALIT make great cards, I have their 1080TI and its a best of a card just need to work a little on the aesthetics of their cards, blue 1080ti is horrible.

Those ones are selling though, these ain't, hence the price drop.

I am not sure why, maybe its the 2 year warranty, its just not enough when everyone else is offering 3-4 years.

The the cards need more aesthetic work, nothing dramatic like Gigabyte. But just change in colour. Their build quality is stellar, my one is built like a tank. Better than Gigabyte Auros 1080ti.

I can see a bad trend with gigabyte cards, they are starting to cheap out on quality, hope i am wrong.

It was the warranty for me, paying 289 more for 2 years more warranty, looks better (not bothered as I dont have a window) and faster out the box speeds. Although looking more in to most TI seem to hit the same speeds anyway. I did look at the PALITs many times, but when the Extreme was available it just swayed me, especially when I realized you can pay over 12months for 29quid fee

Just gone ahead and bought the Palit Gaming OC, that's a good price on it, thanks for the heads-up.

I purchased a Gainward 1080 at launch from OCUK a couple of years ago and was worried about the warranty implications like others here. Sure enough the card power supply blew 18 months later but OCUK handled the full RMA process for me and even sent me a different new (Zotac) 1080 at the 30 day point when Gainward failed to return it in time. Can't fault OCUK on the service they provided and these Palit/Gainward cards are just as fast as the competition.

Actually Palit is number one seller for us on RTX series, followed by Inno3D.

Why are these now on offer, over 500 in stock, quite simple really.
Other brands like Asus Strix, MSI Trio are arriving regular but they are still heavily pre-ordered so when we get a delivery of 20-30 units they never show in stock.

Whereas Palit 2080Ti Gaming Pro has now sold and shipped 700+ and the Dual version nearly 500 units, simply they are always in stock and have the best price, plus its a good performing and quiet cooler.

So its quite the opposite to not selling and hence dropping price, but more in line with been our best seller and we achieve a lower cost from Palit in exchange for taking 500+ in one hit, thus allowing us to buy at a better price and as such lower our price further.

When other brands can supply in such large volumes so that there is ample supply prices on those will drop too.

They've always been in stock 10+, as ive said before, all those waiting for the other brands to come in, why not just grab a Palit, as theres loads in, but its a nope, they won't, even those who have other brands on pre-order, that are going to be waiting till next year for them, will not cancel, and just grab one of the Palits thats always in stock, no one wants Palit, lets be honest here.

Why is it the one we have sold the most on then?
Many customers may not want it as their first choice, but many are buying it because its cheapest and in stock.

Of course if all cards were in stock and always 10+ and our prices reflected ample supply I can confidently say the Strix would no doubt be the no.1 seller followed by cards like MSI TRIO, Zotac AMP Extreme and EVGA OC models.

But most people know they all perform similar, most want a card as quick as possible so whats in stock will always have the best chance of selling in most volume, then of course some will be attracted to the best value.

Must have billions of them in stock then, as they are always in stock, 10+, ive never seen them out yet.

If i was after one, id be buying em, i wouldn't be waiting till sometime next year for a one, or just not buying until another brand comes in. :p
