It’s been years since I’ve done a build and I don’t recognise these extra power connectors top left - do I need to connect my PSU to BOTH of these in addition to the main 24pin one? (See photo of my build so far)

If so, the cable on my psu is too short to reach it.. can someone recommend me an extension cable please?

Come on, just get a different PSU.... Those colourful cables really ruin the look of the package you just paid over a grand for! ;)

I bought that cheapo PSU just to do the build so I don’t have to de-commission my existing PC untill I am completely ready - I have a better PSU going in there next week :p

Thanks - I spoke to a helpful chap on the phone at OCUK in the end, but I appreciate your help
Hi, can I check if it worked? I'm looking to set up a gigabyte z390 aorus master as well, with evga supernova g3 650w.
Pcp4rtp1ck3r gave me an error saying that 1 additional EPS power connector is needed. Based on what lee32uk said, it is a false alarm? The evga supernova g3 650w only has 1x8 pin connector.

One eps connector worked fine, but I’m waiting for a second eps connector to come in the post then I’ll hook both up

If you can plug in 2 8 pins then do so, spreads the load evenly ... Or if you land a nice chip that can take voltage and higher then 5.2ghz
I’m definitely going to hook both EPS sockets up (waiting for second cable), do you think this could lead to better overclocking potential? I don’t seem to have a golden 9900k on my hands... it runs Amaizing at stock, and it *will* do 5ghz but only on higher vCore than 1.35 Which I’m not comfortable with frankly.

Currently running it at 4.8ghz

It's mostly about cleaner power delivery and higher voltages for extreme OC

I have done this! I currently have one connected and a second on order. I am 99% sure that one is fine undar all circumstances but a new cable is £10 so might as well fit it.
