Of course, no one dropping £1300 on a card wants to admit they bought a dud.
In the same way those who have chosen to skip this gen can easily see it is a dud and avoid.

Why you get so irate with negative opinions of this gen amazes me. When the data is clear for all to see.
Oh and all of a sudden the general consensus around gfx card forum here is that 40-60 is suddenly playable all of a sudden

I find this quite strange as well. Can you imagine if you posted 2 years ago and said that in 2018 people would spend £1000+ on a GPU that had a feature that would reduce the frame rate to below 60fps a lot of the time - and they would be ok with it.Oh and all of a sudden the general consensus around gfx card forum here is that 40-60 is suddenly playable all of a sudden
Oh, and it would debut on a famous multiplayer fps franchise.
The ridicule you would get!

I have always regarded 30+fps as playable, the lust for 60/120/144 etc only happened when monitors came along with these high refresh rates. 30+fps is still perfectly acceptable for me as i have never had a monitor that can do more than 60hz. 40 to 60 is super!

I just want authenticity from forum members who think they have influence. Sadly I'm not seeing any. I stand my ground on the 2080 series and have quashed all negative rhetoric towards me with relative ease.
The truth is...The facts speak for themselves....GFX hardware is not ideology you can manipulate....to relieve your insecurities....Its plain hard fact.
If I buy a 2080 ti and enable RT am I going to sustain enough grunt worthy of a £1300 GFX card....Fact is no I'm not...I'll dip to 40fps in places and manage 60 fps if im lucky depending on res.
Thats fine...But don't try to convince me this is decent or even remotely interesting....as anyone who does, becomes closer to being, a GFX card "Evangelist"
