Will you be buying an RTX TITAN ?

As a compute card it looks well placed, would appear to better the Titan V for less money.

As a gaming card not such a good idea, two RTX 2080 Ti would destroy it for around the same cost.

As a compute card the RTX Titan is actually very poor.

In FP64 DP the Titan V is about 15x faster.

Muppets on here will still buy one for e-peen.
In fairness that's exactly what it's being sold for.

The 6FPS extra it's likely to get over a 2080ti isn't worth £1500 and anyone wanting compute use is better off paying the extra £400 for the Titan-V.

Talk about worst of both worlds, are we sure Nvidia didn't outsource the card to Theresa May? :D

I personally feel if someone has the cash spare and wants one, fair play to them. I would love one and wish I had the funds but well out of my reach. I wouldn't call anyone who buys anything for a hobby a muppet.

I hope the forum has a way of making a thread private to invitees only. Anyone posting in the Titan RTX owners thread is gonna get some stick :).
Going to be in very short supply. I reckon they'll go out of stock very quickly.

Yep, it’s tiring isn’t it.

We’re all agreed that Nvidia are greedy but if you want one and you can afford it, why not.

That is the question for me. Why would anyone pay 2500 pounds for a graphics card. A DX11 design with dubious quality control too boot.

Because its faster.

Well we don't know yet, but going off some of the focus group comments it might not be that good.

For me if products X cost ten times more money than product Y then it needs to be close to ten times the performance. Just being better isn't enough.

True but if its faster people will buy it.

Why did you buy a 290x... I am sure it didn't meet your criteria at the time sure its a far lesser scale. But to a guy who said had millions in the bank the scale is the same.

The main reason I bought the R9 290 was because it offered the performance I needed for a third of the price of Nvidia.Freesync and Mantle also had an influence. If the R9 290 was twice the price I wouldn't have bought it.
