Christmas party photo & shame thread!

fake e: post #44 is top bombing :D

I didn't go to the company Christmas party. Too much risk of getting drunk and saying something inappropriate to the wrong person.

We're doing a lad's do though which will be awesome :)

Ours was on Thursday and I got mega drunk. Beer fear for Monday now.

Mine was last Friday and I'd just secured my promotion that day. Don't remember much.

I'm a good drunk though, tend to just dance over exuberantly until I start falling over, then stumble home and sing songs to our pet rabbit.

Got away without any embarrassing moments...nothing that anyone mentioned anyway.

Good luck :)

With your large proboscis I guess you have etiquette problems, such as talking in someone's ear or drinking from a glass like normal people.

We're heading off to a race course £110 a head for a three course meal all paid for by the Co.

There will also be £500 behind the bar for drinks all day for around 25 of us.

Don't know what to expect never been to a day at the races

I love the races. It’s a great day out. Good for novice punters as there’s no slips to write out, just tell the on course bookie what horse you want and how much you want on it.

Is is common for Christmas do's to be paid for? I've worked for almost 20 years in various private sector and public sector jobs and we all had to pay individually. The only exception was one place (private sector) where the MD paid everyone for the 1st drink but food and all subsequent drinks we each paid for as normal.

I think it’s quite common, if only too get people through the door with the promise of free drinks going by some of the grinch worthy comments in this thread.

Our company Christmas party is totally funded by work and we only contribute towards our individual team Christmas night out if we organise something that costs more than the company contribution (which is normally enough to cover dinner and a couple of drinks)

No photos though, no one wants to see me acting like a drunk fool.

6 pound 50 seems about right to me?

ok let's look at
Uttoxeter Racecourse
drinks menu.... No price list going to be expensive.

Trip advisor?

Ok so maybe 4 beers if you are lucky. I take it all back

I think this is all I did! Thanks man, I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow!

Alright you merry bunch of bumders, it's that time of the year when the christmas booze starts flowing and the parties are had. Let's see your shame!

I'll start off with mine. Despite being in this photo, you probably won't see me due to my cunning disguise:

That is actually a seriously impressive photo.

gone to one every year for 18 years. Never paid for one (meal and drinks)

Sometimes had 2 a year (summer ball), and in the early days partners were invited.

Times have changed though so I imagine more and more companies will stop the paying.
