need cpu upgrade help

this is my mobo H270M-DS3H-CF

im currently running g4560. im either nor searching properly or just there is no decent cpu at decent price that will fit my mother board. i was hoping to spend up top 120, 130 at very most

Well, the i7 7700 will be supported. Try to find from someone who sells theirs.

I think you will be much better to find a higher level CPU second hand.
Your Pentium is at 3.5GHz 4 threads with 3MB L3 cache, while the i3 7100 is 3.9GHz 4 threads with 4MB L3 cache...
Actually, even that is a typo in its description, the i3 7100 comes with 3MB L3 cache, as well.

definitely not for an i3.
4k's original post is right. source a preowned 7700.
failing that, a 6700 is also compatible, albeit a couple hundred mhz slower than a 7700

the h270 platform is dead-end tech, no need to buy new.
preowned will give better value for money

i3 is a pointless upgrade from your g4560

g4560 = dual core hyperthread 3.5ghz
i3 7100 = dual core hyperthread 3.9ghz
i7 7700 = quad core hyperthread 3.6-4.4ghz boost

i7 6700 = quad core hyperthread 3.4-4.0ghz boost

you can't overclock the 7700k anyway, with your board. so the stock cooler should be sufficient.
but of course, if you want cooler temps/quieter system or prolonged boost clocks, then better to get a cheap aftermarket cooler
