Christmas party photo & shame thread!

Stoke Hospital so no free parties for us.
I went for an Office meal on Friday
On Wednesday my boss pays for a meal for 8 of us in our department
On Thursday we have an office party where we all bring something in, I bring oatcakes and I do a music quiz.

Woopee

We have our party weekend before Christmas but it's all a casual affair.

If I had to be all dressed up with a bow tie and stuff then I wouldn't go. Just looking at these photos you can see who the posers are and who screams I earn more money than my co-workers etc.

I'm not into all that ponce.

The funny thing is I am the biggest clown of the lot yet earn more than pretty much all of them :D

You've worked hard(ish!) all year, so i am all up for a treat and in favour of getting dressed up and having a good night! Sounds like you have a bit of a chip on your shoulder tbh.

We have ours next week, Secret Santa and cocktails in the office around the tree, then head out for a meal and a free bar somewhere around Waterloo way, travel home is the only thing left to us to deal with.

We also have a night away in October at the end of the financial year, this usually comprises a morning at some hotel with a presentation on how the year went and what is to come, followed by an event in the afternoon (live cluedo, escape room, scavenger hunt - basically team building but "fun"), then a meal and drinks (all paid for) and a room in the hotel so we don't have to worry about getting home, next day is breakfast, then we can either go home or spend the day where we are. Travel to this is always paid for.

Last event I think the bar bill came to just about £1k and the food was about £900 - there is usually 20-25 of us.

I imagine HR might be a bit upset about your posting pictures of female colleagues and then commenting on their hotness? Not trying to be a killjoy but people have got in to trouble before for less I'm sure!

Anyway as the boss man I've organised our works do as a meal and then bowling followed by drinks, hopefully won't suck.
Sounds good to me!

I fell in love with Diddum's online persona because I thought he looked like this :(

You've just convinced me, not that it would take much convincing, I'm going to grab a dozen from London Road (or Church St) later today and do me sen some chayse oatcakes.

I'll be on London Rd at 8:15am, I'll grab you some.
I was with a woman on Saturday night in The Regent Mount Pleasant who puts Nutella on her oatcakes, she is from down sarf though.

I'm from Dan saf, my first oatcake when I was in Stoke had cheese and marmite on and it changed my life.
