Hey guys,

I just setup a new system using the 9900K @ 5.1 bundle from OCUK matched with the ever so hot Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme and all fitted in a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X. I currently have the 360 rad installed on the top as exhaust, 3 140 fans in the front as intakes and 1 140 rear as exhaust. Everything seems to be okay for most part BUT when I play Battlefield V the amount of heat mostly from the GFX card just increases the CPU temps higher than I like though still within its limits.. monitoring it currently tops out at 81c which is so far the hottest i've seen it get..

Would moving the rad to the front as an intake be the answer here, I assume it would make a big difference seeing its getting the coolest air with zero heat soak from the gfx card but in turn would that see any major increase to gpu temps which is also quite toasty itself :p

Cheers :)

It would mean the GPU is getting the hot air from the CPU, and would cook more.

What case, what are the 3x 140s on the front?

That's what I thought with the GPU,

Case is the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X, the 3 fans on the front are the 3 that came with the case (I moved the rear one to the front).. does not have model number on the fans so not sure what they are??

Okay so I think I may have seen the issue, I think it's the Fan Hub on the case.. The fans are acting weird. The CPU fans are plugged directly to MB so they are working as I expected but last night I set the case fans to full speed in Qfan in the BIOS and I noticed that all the case fans (all in the hub) are actually slowing down when I run a game and then speed back up to full speed when I quit out?? so basically the opposite in what its supposed to do lol. in fact, even if I esc into the game menu they speed back up and then slow down again when I esc back into the game, never seen anything like it.

I’m going to get some fan splitters and try plugging them directly into the MB and see if that helps..
