Bit of a random question, but does anyone know if you could for example dye the white and green fabric stripe on this trainer to a dark grey or black to match the rest of the shoe and have it stay permanently (i.e. some sort of waterproof dye)?

I have absolutely no clue as never done done anything even remotely within the realm of this but searched high and low for smart casual trainers and I think these are near perfect for me without the silly white and green stripes. Please, no theoretical debates as to why buy the trainer if you're not completely happy blah blah etc. Just a simple question, can those fabric green and white stripes be dyed to near colour of the trainer and not wash off in the rain and end up creating a mess on the rest of the trainer.

Bic biro.

Find the maker and source a pair without the colour they will exist

PS they are hideous and look like they would last 15mins.

Err, no. What part of bright white trainers make you think they count as "smart"? Or have you been suckered in because they cost £200 (which is hilarious because a pair of Stan Smith's or Converse would look better at a fraction of the price.

To be clear, I'm all for wearing trainers. I wear them every day to work with jeans and a casual shirt. But I'm under no illusion that they're trainers and nothing more.
