I'm not agreeing with you, if you wanted clarification.
That's fine.
I'm not agreeing with you, if you wanted clarification.
Now that is a result.
There is no manned till used at any supermarket which can tell the difference if i pay you in £10 or 10x£1
I was driving into a town centre car park last week, indicating right and giving way to pedestrians who were crossing the mouth of the car park entrance when one of them said quite sternly "this is no entry!". It was the only entrance to the car park and all the road signs and markings made it quite obviously a valid route. I ignored the advice with a smile and a wave but I was scratching my head for a while afterwards.
Had similar a few years ago. I drove down a one way street with parking on the sides facing into road. I decided to reverse in only for someone to shout it's a one way and I went the wrong way.
I triple checked the signs and all other cars going the same way, and to this day I have no idea why he thought I'd done wrong. Perhaps he only saw my reversing and thought I'd reversed the entire way?! I never did get to ask him.
I still think about it every time I go down a one way street.
I parked on the hill outside my mother-in-law's house (it's a big wide road) and some bloke stood by the side of the road said "You can't park there, it's not allowed".
I stopped and looked down for the non-existent double yellow lines, looked up for the non-existent parking restriction signs and said the equivalent of "U wot m8?" and started to walk off.
"OI, YOU CAN'T PARK THERE" he shouted
I wasn't having the best of days so I stopped and repeated "U wot m8?", he then ran at me, spuds up.
He bounced off my outstretched palms but somehow managed to grab my coat and I landed up top of him gripping his shirt.
I'm still baffled as to why he thought I wasn't allowed to park there and his response.
Lol, sounds like you met a proper angryman there! How did it end, did you get any sense out of him?
I said "I'm going to get off you and then you're going to **** off, RIGHT?".
I got off him, and he ****** off.
Strange.
Saw the video of the Scandinavian woman being beheaded in Morocco. Just completely and utterly awful. ****ing animals. It's truly baffling why western women would ever choose to go to Muslim countries, especially alone.![]()
Feel sorry for the goldfishWhy do restaurant owners think we want to eat stuff off paddles etc?

Lorry drivers riding my arse on the motorway when there's a queue to exit off the slip road.
Actually that doesn't baffle me, because most truckers are a bit thick and don't realise how dangerous tailgating is.
Nice bit of generalising there, the vast majority of those “thick” truckers can operate a six forward gear shift lever, with a ‘splitter’, making it effectively 12 forward gears, how do you think you’d do?
Let’s say that you’re approaching a roundabout, in sixth ‘high’, effectively twelfth, doing 60-65 mph.
As you slow down to maybe 28-30, and probably lower, and drive on, out of the roundabout, do you drop it down to sixth ‘low’, or fourth or fifth ‘low’?
And no, I’m not condoning tailgating, in any vehicle.
Few days ago. No crime, just Islam being Islam.

Even performing chimps can repeat a task when trained so not sure how you stating that they do something, which when trained I'm pretty sure anyone could do it, has any relevance to his statement.

They realise, they just don't have a single care for the continuing existence of people like you.Lorry drivers riding my arse on the motorway when there's a queue to exit off the slip road.

I think having an attitude like that is a "dick move". Anyway, he wasn't making the "it's easier" argument, was he? So it sounds like you're actually agreeing with me, not him.
No, it isn't. Not unless you presume that the only possible answer is that servants are too stupid to work out that 10 - 9 = 1.
You can't say "You're wasting my time and the time of the people queuing behind you" to a customer and in any case that would be rude when they're probably mistakenly thinking that they're being helpful. You also can't say "I haven't got the change" when you have got a few £ coins left and want them to last until the queue has gone so you can get some more without stopping serving, so you want to keep them for when they're actually needed. But you can blame the till and/or silly procedures, i.e. "I can't do that because it's already rung through".
Or she was offering a polite excuse to a person who was probably thinking that they were being helpful but was actually being a hindrance because she'd already made change for the amount she'd been given. Changing the amount of money you're giving to someone partway through the transaction is generally not helpful to them.
I don't think he is. Changing your payment when someone has already started picking out your change is a dick move but it's easier to say "till says no" than "you're an inconsiderate pleb, why didn't you ask for that before I'd picked out 80p of change from the till"
Its the same for any car driver aswell. You have to select the right gear when changing down. Only difference is lorries have more gears....
