UN Migration Pact - Criticising Migration = Hate Crime

Fascist yes.

Right wing no.

Doesn't surprise me that someone left leaning tries to categorise anything undesirable as right wing though.

I'll concede, but to bring up a mild point, were the Western Bailouts not state capitalism when it came down to the basics?

State bailouts are not capitalism.

The best case you could get is it is a form of crony capitalism that uses government (public money) to help private companies. Just watching a discussion on this exact topic. Wierd.

Spoke more truth and sense in two minutes than the rest of the worlds politicians have in the last 10 years!

He actually gets it.

I hope it is accurate. as much as I hate to say it, I have a feeling it will go the same way as a black person telling other black people to stop killing each other, stop selling drugs, stop terrorising each other, stop destroying the environments they live in, stop blaming others etc and be treated as some sort of conspiracy/lie to keep them down and ignored.

Cynical, yes but as likely as it is to be a conspiracy/inaccurate.

Few things about this subject

a) Left newspapers like the Indepedent have very selective memory of how to write articles. Yesterday they had an article effectively saying that "Trump is on its own alongside Orban for not signing the treaty".
Yet Italy & Austria are among countries who do not sign it either, while in Belgium there will withdraw it.

b) The treaty is one sided. Is only for migration towards the West. If lets say British immigrants pop at Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, UAE, Israel, Jordan borders, it doesn't apply.
Same applies to South Africa for example, everyone brushes under the carpet the anti-White policies and racism, forcing people to leave the country living for 400 years.

c) Also is against freedom of speech. Now is hate crime if we call someone illegal immigrant, and the taxpayers of the host country, should fork the benefits the treaty expects to all visitors.
I am an immigrant* myself. Never expected anything for free. On the contrary from day one, got a nice paid job due to my professional skills and progressed there in this county due to hard work and skills obtained in the process.
Even for me (an many other non British taxpayers in UK) is obsurd to have people moving to another country expecting from the local taxpayers to cough up support.

*Depends someone's views. Because for many in EU, moving to other country is no different than Americans moving from Texas to New York. They are not called by New Yorkers "Texan immigrants".
Nor the other way around. Yet we have in this country, there is a poisonous rhetoric about "EU immigrants". However everyone brushed under the carpet the British immigrants to EU countries.
You, don't even like not use the phrase "British immigrants" and nobody is using it because it carries some "stigma".

Coincidence that now we are signed up we suddenly start to have an influx of asylum seekers coming across the channel?

Why aren't we taking them back to France?

I don't think this is related to the Compact. But I do find it funny that our government are surprised by the sudden last minute surge in people getting in before brexit. It was obvious that the traffickers would use it as a reason why people had to try to get across beforehand (and no doubt charge more).

Have to be taken to back to safety in the quickest time. If the french coastguard catches them near the french coast, they are taken back to France.

I’d imagine most do end up deported though. Failing that, sea mines could be the answer :p

Look at how it started in the med nobody stopped them, history repeating itself.

Can't see the French doing anything to stop them they'll be happy to get them off their hands.

They should be sent straight back to France. If they carry on coming over in their little dinghies, there’s gonna be a catastrophe sooner or later.

They need to be shown that it won’t work and it’s pointless giving their money to the traffickers.

The silent majority is stirring. Brexit and Trump are just the start. Ive been calling it for years, it is a cyclical thing. People are not equal and never ever will be and it’s why socialism for the world and equal rights for the world will never work. And why we have threads like this..

As you get older you either realise or become another failed idealist. There is looking after our fellow man and then there is realism. You can keep ‘yea butting’ every debate or sneering at people for being racist or you can wake up and realise what you think is right won’t work. World War in my lifetime? Yip I can see it sadly. The big picture is the debate. All the small crap is irrelevant but people waste years debating it and never concluding anything.

Boats cost money and are hardly an item you Can just pick up from the supermarket, so who is helping them and why?

It's a nice touch having a child onboard each trip! How long until we see a bloated crab eaten child wash up on brighton beach?
I would give it 3 months, especially this time of year in cold and dark weather with them getting run over by tankers in the dark.
