Of course we are, and it takes two seconds to check, im not really sure why some people are trying to lie about it just because its a few pence lololol (yea times 65million)
WUT!? WHY HAVE YOU NOT DONATED ALL THIS ALREADY AND LIVING IN A GUTTER. YOU ARE TO BLAME FOR MY UPHEVALS!!11Ive got a gold guilded Steinway in my hall and a platinum harp in my summer house. My neighbour died 4 years back and Prince Edward came to say goodbye in a church 100 yards from my house I share a drive with. We should be pen pals![]()
I give loads, loads and loads, time and monies. But they will not take my Steinways...EVA!WUT!? WHY HAVE YOU NOT DONATED ALL THIS ALREADY AND LIVING IN A GUTTER. YOU ARE TO BLAME FOR MY UPHEVALS!!11
If we're not paying for the Royal Family through our taxes, then that changes my position somewhat as I'd always believed we were. I shift a little from antipathy to apathy (though I still object to their having political power). However, it seems unlikely to me that state funds are not spent on the Royal Family, so I'd need to look into it myself before I was quite convinced.
Nobody wants pianos any more. There are always loads on Freecycle.
Oi I'm clean, really clean, go see my Secret Santa unwrap @Maccapacca made sure just in case! No ermmm, STI's on me!Yeah, that'll be why no-one wants it.... The fear of catching something is usually so great they won't even phone your house, just in case!!
I was offered £2M for my two and turned it down. Apparently one of them was used by Mozart and the other one by, erm hang on let me Google someone famous.....yes. by Kim Kardashian!
I really wish someone would crunch the numbers conclusively, backed with concrete evidence to demonstrate the actual and final cost of the Royals to Great Britain. This should include any tourism related income generated by them as I suspect it's a fairly hefty number in comparison to what they "cost".
There are however enough variables to make this quite a daunting task and not one I feel confident (read: arsed) enough to do.
I've never gotten the negativity towards the Royals. As someone who has lived in a country with no monarchy (South Africa) and a half-arsed sort-of monarchy in little more than name (Holland) I can very clearly see the social and financial advantages they bring. Just look at Kate's wedding, half the country put all their differences aside, hung up the bunting and had a party, it was fantastic.
The royals might not be the be all and end all of British culture but they certainly make enough of a positive impact to warrant their roles.
I am ZodI can see what you're doing but it's also incredible how these posts of yours mimic tweets of a current world leader.
The fact we have Royals taking millions out of the coffers each year during "austerity" pretty much sums up my thoughts on the establishment.
Total royalist and very proud to be one, she also still holds power over the government in a constitutional crisis
It is indeed "lol". Lol at how bent out of shape you are over a measly amount of your money for the upkeep of an important part of our nation. I wonder what your reaction is for the real big wastes of your money? Billions wasted by our government on: computer blunders; NHS mismanagement; waste mismanagement; police PR (!?); sale of social housing; an overpriced war debt; and the incessant lobbying and campaigning that most of that time consists of just lies!
