Coca-Cola from a pub or restaurant.

Who the hell goes to a pub and drinks such stuff anyway? They are licensed to sell alcoholic beverages so utilise their licence and enjoy.
"Yes officer I was over the limit but I was ridiculed on OcUK because, who goes to a pub for a soft drink?"

if i was a Don id ban you, but as im not then you'l have to make do with a SS ban... no more gold panties for you me laddo! :p
if I thought you meant that i'd be devastated but I know you wouldn't.....why......you wouldn't deprive yourself or the world of the gold panted kwango!! there could be a thong next year and I know you don't want to miss out on that :p

I do, and I suspect so do many others.
Who in their right mind thinks a drink has to have alcohol in it to enjoy it. Probably the same person that drinks round of "insert generic larger" because all their mates drink it, rather than drinking something you actually like.

McDonalds has their coke syrup delivered in stainless steel containers and not bag in box. They'll also probably mix it with chilled carbonated water rather than letting the ice do the work. Temperature has a big effect on carbonation levels, as does the surface area of solid to which the carbonated drink is exposed. McDonalds will have worked that out to the nth degree.

Granted it's been a looong time since I worked there. But it was always bag in a box syrup when I were there. We did have to calibrate the machine weekly though to make sure the mixture was right.

It is actually a bag in a plastic collapsible box...

When I was at McDonald’s and I first started working there we had two big stainless steel tanks that were filled by running a long tube from the delivery truck into the empty tank that was sanitised And they pumped from the truck to the empty tanks. If they delivery driver wasn’t satisfied the tank had been cleaned sufficiently they wouldn’t fill the tank.

Diet Coke and the others were in 20 litre boxes. Then coke was changed to a big grey plastic box with a big plastic bag inside and the box folded down once empty.

We had to calibrate weekly to 5:1 with the threat of coke turning up and randomly testing and if not calibrated correctly would get a telling off from coke.

You didn't read all the posts ?? Here, I highlighted the reason as to why they drinking Coca-Cola at the pub. After all, it is bad practice to drink alcoholic beverage if you be driving, mkay ? :p

Edit: Drat, beaten by @Thekwango :p
Lol it’s Christopher Wilson, best to ignore him ;).

Pizza Hut near us sells bottles if you get it from the "bar" but the meal deals including limitless self fill are from the mixer tap.

I pay the extra to have a bottle because the mix tastes terrible.

It was actually the mix that tasted amazing. I'm guessing they added more syrup than normal so it made the taste stronger.

What happens if you dont like alcohol and go with friends or family? you go to be social, but drinks like coke are there for you.

The only alcohol I like is alcopop's, I dont know why I dont like any other alcoholic drinks, I just dont, its the taste.

Why is Coca-Cola from a pub or restaurant (not fast food) pretty much always flat yet lemonade from the same mixer tap is always perfect.

Will usually buy it in the bottles or cans if available but when complaining and sending the drinks back upon visiting the same establishments again at a later date it's still flat.

Is mixing Coca-Cola syrup with carbonated water more difficult or something?

it's to do with the rinse aid in the glass washer.

ask them to clean the glass out with tap water. dry it and then pour a fresh one and see the difference.

It's real, it's just syrup mixed with carbonated water at the gun. They are rarely maintained unless they stop working altogether so the mix is usually off, and even when set up right it's never the same as Coke from a glass bottle or aluminium can

I actually don't like Coke from a glass bottle or can - I don't normally like carbonated drinks but McDonalds Coca-Cola I find very drinkable.

Coca-cola is her go to drink when driving and she usually drives so this is becoming a wide spread problem for her.
McDonald's does it perfect all the time, I just find it strange how some of the best pubs in England know how to prepare and handle beer but Coca-Cola is a complete fail.

that is because mc donalds use paper cups. bars use glasses. so the glasses are coated in rinse aid / detergents

What happens is that you're basically viewed as a bit of a girl and are considered to be of fairly low social status as a male
