Good Afternoon All,

I've got a dyson upright and looking for a small handheld to accompany it and make stair / in car cleaning easier.

Anyone know of any Dyson discounts?
I use to have a mate who worked at Dyson so got a great deal on my DC35, but they no longer work there.

Looking to buy the V10 Total Clean, just dont really want to spend the £500 list price.

Also, please no recommendations of other brands, pro's / con's etc...

Thanks for any and all help.

£500 on a secondary hoover for the car/stairs? really? Also the V10 is just not worth £500 so don't bother. Use your current primary hoover for the job?

I don't even bother using the cordless Dyson we have here for the car, it's too cumbersome to get into most nooks and crannies in the car. A decent hose and attachments are far better imo.

As for just wanting a handheld for the stairs, get a certified refurbished unit from the Dyson outlet on eBay, a V6 or V8 will be more than good enough.

My parents bought an older model cordless one and completely agree its not ideal for cars. A cheap small cylinder one with a bunch of attachments is definitely better.

Nothing says mug like a £500 hoover. Be sure to store it next to your £200 simplehuman bin.

Posted on a forum where people buy graphics cards for over a £1000 :p

Looking at reviews there isn't that much difference between the V8 and V10, but the V8 total clean can be picked up £250-300.

Can confirm that the dyson handheld is poo for vacuuming the car. I love it for everything else though.

Buy a Shark.

I’ve had numerous Dysons and Vax “Max pet” cleaners to deal with the residue from these two....

Which is considerable as you may imagine, nothing comes close.

Very good for cars too. :)

I've been looking for dyson sales/vouchers and nothing in last few weeks unless you get a refurbished one from Ebay with only 30 days warranty.

Don't bother with Shark.

If you want the best of the best, just buy a Miele.
We were thinking Mele but I had poor feedback from my German Shepard group on faceache, the Shark by far and away was the recommendation.
Whatever you do, do not buy a shark vacume cleaner.
Care to elaborate as to why?

In my experience mines been the best by a long long way - and the fur from my two is an excellent vacuum killer - I’ve got three dead Dysons in my shed and two equally dead Vax “Max Pet”’s it’s a vacuum graveyard! :D

You’d love my house I’ve got 2 one for upstairs and one for downstairs and a Nespresso in 4 rooms.....and my garage. I am Mr Must Have.

I need one of these v10’s in my garage though to hoover me v10. I’ve got a 3DFX for me Tetris too as I’m told they’re the best by @Gibbo who did me a special price on it last month.
