Get a hob proof one, make its easier to sear the meat first.

Pretty sure this is the one I had. I use my flat mates now as it's massive and makes bulk cooking a lot easier.

OP must be living in the dark ages. For real though, get yourself an cheap fridge/freezer and really enjoy the benefits of a pressure cooker
Cant. No room in bedsit. Plus no heating! Only small portable electric heater
This sounds so grim. Why are you living like this?
Surely a flatshare is in budget?

Do you ever make your way into Bristol? I have a small ~2L Crock Pot slow cooker that you can have. I haven't used it since I got my Instant Pot ages ago.
Needs must i am afraid. Done a couple of house shares too. They were also grim.
Looking to buy so hoping to find somewhere very very soon!

We have 2, and you get different results with the two
One of the above linked ones, which I do things that I prefer to cook a fair bit on the hob first, so browning meat and onions etc
And a crockpot one with a earthenware down instead (you can use this on the hob on low/medium heat) which seems to produce better results for things like joints of meat
The crockpot one they have in tesco right now for about £25 I noticed the other day
They don't cost peanuts to run, but use probably less than a KWh for a long cook. Well worth it.
