Alright chaps,

its time to upgrade the old beast - won a raffle at work and netted a i7 9700k. (first thing I've ever won! ha) So obviously i'll be basing my upgrade around this, so that would be new a new mobo, ram & SSD. I'll hopefully be keeping my current PSU / Cooler - if its up to the task.

OCZ ZX Series 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
Cooler Master Hyper 212X CPU Air Cooler RR-212X
MSI GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR OC 8192MB

I currently game at 1080p - though would maybe looking at getting a nice 27" 1440p / 144hz monitor - but that's for another time.

So just looking for a decent Mobo, ram & might as well bang in a SSD for the OS (only have a 120gb one atm)

Any advice chaps?

@Kyrne
Get gabyye/Aorus have best designed boards for price with z390 . Bios isn't as slick but UK support makes up for it. Depend son your budget but entry z390 from them is £110-20 and Aorus starts from £170 . Gigabyte is 10 phase design and Aorus is 12 but with better sound and USB C internally .

3000hz 16GB team group for £109 which is nicely priced

Need a decent cooler for intel , would step it up a little, dark rock 4 or slightly lower priced £50 cryorig

Aye just been looking at advice on coolers - ive had the current one a fair bit - may be time to upgrade.

Ill have a look at the ones you listed.

My budget is about 500.

Wife got me a kolink observatory for christmas - because I've been moaning about having a window for 10+ years ha.

EDIT

Cooler wise...

Cryorig H7 Ultra CPU Heatsink with Black 120mm Fan
Hydro Series H100x Performance Liquid CPU Cooler - 240mm (CW-9060040-WW)

Tempted by the AIO if it will fit in the case, are these the dogs dangles these days?
