Hi guys, I hope you are doing great

I have never owned a pc up until 3 years ago
I have even build it myself lol
-i7-6700K
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
-16 GB ram DDR4 Kingston
-MSI Z170-A PRO

I do a bit of Photo and video editing and some casual gaming
Overwatch, CS GO, PUBG.
I know that GTX 950 needs changing and I will probably go for GTX 1060 6GB or even 1070

My question is whether everything else is ok and will I have to change any other components when I will be updating my graphics card
And at that point, I also will be installing liquid cooling.

I am really into VR and I will be getting Oculus rift/htc vive at some point.

Please advise me what is the best solution for me and can you also tell me whether my pc is still ''up to date''

Many thanks

The only thing I'd change at this point, is the GPU. It's a wee bit anaemic in comparison to the rest of the specs.
Rest is fine for the next year or two...

Seems rtx 2060 float about on OCUK for £360 via mobile webview. Same power as gtx 1070ti pretty much.
Would be interesting to see if gtx 1070 prices drop a little

Plus side they come with USB C for future headsets

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

As well as a decent gpu I would overclock the 6700k if it isn't already done. First though, what make and model psu do you have?

Corsair CP-9020015-UK Builder Series CX750 ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit, 750 W
and I do agree that I should also overclock my processor but it is just so quick that i even forgot about overclocking possibilities
