Latest Gillette ad suggests their customers are broken, toxic and need "fixing" through feminism

My favourite part was when the guy clasped the woman on the shoulder in the meeting, and her expression made it look like he'd just shoved his head up her skirt while holding her family at gunpoint for the 3rd time this week.

I think she’s probably more put out by him saying “what I actually think she’s trying to say…”

He completely undermines her in front of the rest of the people in the meeting and the hand on the shoulder is just adds to the condescension.

But sure, it’s just a hand on a shoulder…

The outrage in this thread is hilarious.

They aren't saying all men are sexual predators either, just that some men are absolute tools and let's have it right...they aren't exactly wrong are they.
If that's the point then I eagerly await the Proctor and Gamble advert for Pantene telling women they should be better women and to not hit their kids.

You're all horrible disgusting men. There's only one way you can save yourselves, go out and buy their severally overpriced razor blades!

How dare you mansplain to us what the video is showing

I don’t think there’s much outrage in the thread really, there’s a couple of edgelord comments and some lighthearted “It was just banter” - RIP Richard Keys.

Released on Sunday, the film’s YouTube page has had 83,000 dislikes and 8,500 likes with many commenters saying they will never buy a Gillette razor again.

The ad was directed by Kim Gehrig at the UK-basedproduction agency, Somesuch. Gehrig was behind the 2015 This Girl Can advertising campaign for Sport England and “Viva La Vulva”, an advertisement for Swedish feminine hygiene brand Libresse.

Some people took issue with the advertisement because it was directed by a woman. The Conservative Canadian political commentator Ezra Levant wrote: “A shaving ad written by pink-haired feminist scolds is about as effective as a tampon ad written by middle aged men … Count this 30-year customer out.”

People's objections (yes women object to this as well) is that it makes the assumption all males are the bad kind and that there aren't good men already doing the stuff they want guys to do as per that ad.

All the focus is on the ********* that will be ********* regardless.

Also, some women are also horrid people, but that is taboo... Either do these sex attacks fairly or don't do them at all.

I don’t get why you would be offended... it’s clearly targeted at men that act inappropriately (fighting / leering over women etc) so why would that offend you if you know you don’t do those things?

Saying that, I don’t get the office scene with the manager explaining what the woman said... that happens just as much to men and he only rested his hand on her shoulder! Is that deemed a sexual advance nowadays?! lol

It’s funny because those ‘edgelords’ are the same people who complain about SJWs and snow flakes being triggered.

Did we watch the same video? The second half entirely focuses on the good men setting a positive example for others.

I guess if you see yourself reflected in the douchebag men in the advert, rather than the more heroic types sorting **** out, then you might get a bit upset.

I'd probably think twice about what broadcasting that displeasure signposts, but I guess that lack of good judgement is part of being a douchebag....

Not gonna lie, I didn't hear him say that. :p

Why is it different to if he did the same to a bloke and said "what I actually think he's trying to say" though?

I do hate this nonsense. I'll try not to buy Gillette again tbh. Any company that goes out of their way to be woke should go broke.

I'm off now to rape and insult women around a BBQ. Wtf are they thinking?
