Latest Gillette ad suggests their customers are broken, toxic and need "fixing" through feminism

But the majority of sexual assualt/rape is committed by men.

Funny how people shout that "stats can't be racist" when referring to crime and black culture, then for a complete 180 with regards to this.

Considering rape as an offence must include a penis then it's pretty safe to say that yes, the majority of offenders are male!

So the majority of men commit a certain crime, therefore its OK to tar everyone with the same brush? Its like saying every muslim is a terrorist.

People said it about Brett Kavanaugh trying to rape a girl whilst swigging a can of beer from each hand and playing the popular game 'Devils Triangle'.

Really? I'm pretty sure the 'people' you are regfering to never accepted the accusations that he ever raped or sexually assaulted anyone in the first place rather brushing it of as well 'boys will be boys'! I'm sure there was some comment on the rather more general circumstances of him liking a drink and saying silt stuff when he was at college but that's fairly common for both men and women especially when in their teens and early 20`s at college!

Re Gillette I don't want politics from companies selling me stuff unless it's directly related to the product itself.

I don't wasn't political protest from ice cream or lectures from personal grooming companies.

I don't much care whether it's from the left or the right... I wouldn't want a 'build the wall' ice cream or a lecture on the propesnisty of women to be awful to and bitch to each other in a female hygiene product!

Its a little differnt when it comes to companies selling entertainment/ art for example films are often political and games can be to.. Al be it with the rider that the politics should be more related to the product itself and its setting.

I. E politics about a war in a war film OK. Lectures on toxic masculinity in the loading screens between sections of a game not OK.

You wanna re-check that chum? :p

If a woman rapes a man I'm pretty sure it will also likely include a penis...

It has happened.

Also the exact definition of rape varies. It might not include a penis at all.

You (and others) seem to think the advert tars all men with the same brush, plenty of others don't.

Also, I think we under-estimate just how bad things are with regards to his in the USA (where this ad it aimed at).

I would absolutely welcome an advert that highlighted how emotional manipulation is largely ignored in a relationship when committed by the woman, how people expect a man to pay for both when courting or else be considered rude, how a mothers work leave when having a child is considered many, many times more important than a fathers and how the divorce system seems to be stacked against the father in most family situations.

You seem to think many users who dont take issue with the advert are picking some sort of side. The side i am picking is nothing to do with men vs women or white knighting. I just dont like dick behaviour.

The way this thread was going, i expected it to turn into the 'Wilkonson Sword owners thread'. Cmon now guys, post your receipt and razor to get on the OP :p

Well it kind of is, because she's carried the bloody thing for 9 months and then pushed it out of her vagina, so a bit more time would probably be needed for recovery,

I am not advocating less time for mothers but 1 or 2 weeks for men is too short. It is the idea that employers think men milk leave when they request a paltry amount of time which i dislike

"According to the law, rape occurs when one person penetrates another with their penis without the consent of the person being penetrated."

This woman reckons it's fine for boys to grope girls. She's even on camera affirming it with her teenage daughters:

Schick, their main competitors, genuine, add series, much more subtle with room for self-introspection Schick Hydro: The Man I Am - Kevin
did they have #metoo in mind ?

Schick, a brand of razors manufactured by Edgewell Personal Care, is now sticking it to the market leader where it hurts.
One of Gillette's biggest advantages is its ecosystem. The brand figures that since you've already purchased the handle and other accessories, you may as well keep purchasing the refill blades that fit it.
Schick knows that, so it's created a new line of razor refills, called the Hydro Connect, that fit Gillette's Fusion or Mach 3 razors but cost less than Gillette's refills.
didn't know - LOL

Men on the whole don't sexually assault women.

It is illegal for men and women to be paid differently for doing the same jobs.

If there are more women then why aren't they voting in female mps? Perhaps it's because they're voting for the most suitable person regardless of their gender?
Labour are.
I'm amazed at the number of people who still watch adverts. Outside of film trailers I cannot actually recall when I last did, including the one being discussed in this thread.
Ive got to admit I dont usually like adverts but there are some that give me a chuckle every time I see it. Infact if I happen to see the one being cried about it will probably bring a wry smile to my face just thinking about this thread.

Women don't have shlongs
Then you are meeting the wrong sort of women. You need to broaden your horizons matey. ;)

Now not too long ago, Colgate had a different approach to personal grooming/hygiene adverts:

The only thing that annoys me a tad is the implication that this is somehow normal or common behaviour for men. I'm sure a huge majority of men would be ousted from any kind of social group if they were to engage in genuinely inappropriate behaviour towards women, let their kids genuinely bully or antagonise another child without stepping in. As usual these things lack any kind of nuance. But then it is an ad so I'm not really expecting any.

Is true... In the UK a woman can only be charged with rape if they use someone elses penis.

For example, if a man and a woman both are involved with forcing the mans penis inside someone... then they will both be charged with rape.

Labour are.

That will be Labour with yet another male leader vs the tories on their second female pm who was one of two women left in contention for the last leadership contest?

Keep deluding yourself

I think the comments about boys will be boys are more a reflection of the overreaction, in my view, to people's activities especially in their youth at colleges. I'm sure a forensic examination of the actions of most women at college would reveal a few eye brow raising moments as well.

At this age I, like a lot of men, received numerous 'unsolicited' sexual advances whilst out socialising and more recently had a female colleague at an Xmas do pinch and smack by bottom.

I just considered it the silly anitcs of an inherbriated colleague rather then any big deal.

Well it kind of is, because she's carried the bloody thing for 9 months and then pushed it out of her vagina, so a bit more time would probably be needed for recovery,

Is pretty sure they were also refering to leave in general i. E including by school age.. .

I sure some men here (me included) will attest to having issues with getting leave needed to look after their own families at certain times of year when up against cultural expectations that women will get priority for such requests.

That definition is bull-****. So if a woman slips a bloke a blue pill then rides him against his will (as unlikely as they may seem) - Thats not rape?
Of course it is.
