Looking to buy a second hand car in April and I really fancy one with adaptive cruise control. Should be an automatic. Android auto and parking camera would be nice, but not mandatory.

I'm thinking a 1-2 year old car would probably fit the bill. Don't have a firm budget yet, but generally the cheaper the better, within reason.

I was looking at an astra, but couldn't find any second hand with adaptive cruise control (it's an option on certain models only).

Dunno what other VW/makes use the same system and what trim level but I'm quite impressed with the assistance options on my parent's Touran the adaptive cruise control and lane assist seem to work really well other than occasionally taking a bit of time to start speeding up again after a vehicle infront of you turns off via certain types of junction.

Volvo have had it in their cars since the 2010 S60 so if you're into any of their models there's a chance it'll have it. It's not standard on some models though IIRC.

Skoda and Seat have had the Cruise on a few models for a few years too, depends on your budget and any other requirements.

Mk7 Golf.
Got myself a 1.4 GT TSI ACT 150 (stupid name) last year for my commute and it's great. DSG and Adaptive Cruise work very well, although the DSG 'box is rather very jerky. Once on the move, however, very smooth. Suspension is hard because it's german, but massaging seats are nice and the infotainment, etc works well. Quality interior too. You get what you pay for.

If ford use the same kit across their range then any modern synch 3 ford. My ranger adaptive cruise with lane guidance is fantastic. So good I've forgot how to use a throttle I use it so much.

I could have a kip really

Can't comment on the tech, but I rented a brand new facelift 3rd Gen focus last year and the interior quality/plastics was absolutely appalling. Shocking. I honestly don't recall the pre-facelift feeling that cheap. Perhaps the tiny screen and myriad buttons or that Sony console were better than the huge touchscreen and Fisher Price plastics they updated it to?

Only some Focus Mk3.5 will have the adaptive cruise. Cruise is standard on a few models, definitely on the Tit.X but adaptive is part of an optional pack. You'll have to look at the pics on each advert for the cruise control controls on the steering wheel - the ones with adaptive cruise have slightly different symbols on the buttons, you'll see ones that clearly represent increasing/decreasing the distance.

Agreed, I had a rental facelift one a couple of years ago and the interior was naff scratchy hard plastics everywhere and cheap spongy buttons. Totally put me off the Focus when I was looking for a new car myself, my Leon's interior is far nicer.

Thanks, I've been looking into Golfs now. It seems that ACC was only added in 2016 models, and then in only some of them. It's a bit tricky to find them on the 2nd hand car sites as everyone just says "cruise control" in their description without specifying if its adaptive or not.
