Anyone know anything about valuing baseball/basketball cards?

I was at my mum's and discovered my "collection" of baseball cards from roughly late 80s to early 90s, along with a few basketball and NFL ones. Does anyone know anything about how to check their value, besides just Googling? Or know of any reputable sites?

There's quite a lot. I'm sure they're all worth next-to nothing (most are coming up as $1 lol) but I'd like to check as I have recognised a few names.

They brands are all Fleer, Topps, Score... I'm sure I didn't actually buy any of them and they all came from a cereal packet or something so it's highly unlikely there's any money on there. I'm just so scared of being the idiot that sold a folder of cards on ebay for £40 only to find out there was a £250 card in there somewhere :p

Assuming there are no autographed or relic cards, run-of-the-mill sets from that time generally have no value, although rookie cards of players who went on to be big names could be worth something, they would have to be in absolutely mint condition too.
