Medically speaking, I understand that shoes with no socks is actually a very bad idea indeed and there are quite a few Hipster types who have ended up with very nasty infections as a consequence of doing so (Up to and including amputations!)

Indeed. Generally it's a bad idea due to dirt accumulation. But women can get away with it as they tend to have dozens of shoes, so each shoe is used less than a man shoe.

I hate this, but I hate more that 'stories' in Instagram and Snapchat now encourage it. Just as annoying is when people take photo's in portrait, of perhaps a car. We get more sky and road than car...
