VEGA 64 vs RTX 2060 vs RTX 2070 vs GTX 1080

Vega showing its doing very well, but I do dislike these type of video's. The reason is like I have said for years it's not better than going to a website looking at graphs.

I need to see raw game play footage, recorded using external recording hardware.

Graph don't tell you very much.

As long as they tested all cards on latest drivers we have found:

Vega 56 performs around 1070ti and 2060 but does cost less.
Vega 64 performs around 2070 and 1080, but again cost less.

Vega 7 shall be hear next month offering 2080 and 1080ti performance levels for around £650.

AMD are surprisingly strong at moment sales wise, but their triple game bundle really helps I feel as sales performance wise VEGA and RX 590 are doing extremely well.

I would suggest the Nitro+ 64, Best built card i've ever owned. Couple of guys in the Vega thread ready to pull trigger, the games which can be sold make it a no brainer...

Wonder if Vega 7 will make it into laptops? No 56/64 offerings apart from one from Acer that isn't in production anymore as far as can be seen.

After the stick they got upon release, Its really nice to see that they are selling well. I do wonder if the RTX pricing has had a direct effect of that thought, and did Nvidia always have a plan to make a GTX 1660? or are they reacting to the RTX response?

1660 I suspect was always planned as no way was there new range going to be starting at £329 upwards, they need a £200-£250 part and a £150 part, so maybe expect a 1560ti or something whatever they decide to call it, all they just drop 1060 3G to £150 and 6G to £199 and push 1050ti and 1050 even cheaper.

They need to fill the lower end gap.

VEGA sells better now because AMD also vastly improved its performance since launch and it is also very popular as enthusiast have realised it is also a fun card due to its versatility overclocking and voltage wise and how it responds to under-volting at which point it becomes a very quick card and consumes less power.
Plus of course VEGA still remains a favourite amongst miners due to the undervolting and hash rates on certain coins etc.

I am considering a new graphics card, but would prefer to wait until April. Am I to assume that by that point all Vega56 and 64 stock will be cleaned out (at current prices at least) and AMD will have a yawning gap between 590 and Radeon 7 cards?

I'd prefer to buy AMD, but £650-ish for a Radeon 7 is likely more than I want and need.

We literally took thousands of 56/64 as I knew this was going to happen, so right now we have months worth of stock, however that could change in a moments time if sales vastly pick up, it is way too hard to predict.

All I can share is that today our German and Portuguese branches took stock form us due to been no stock in Europe and Germany still have big demand from miners, so it is so hard to predict, come April we may still have stock at £299 and £399, or we may not have stock or that stock could be £349 and £449, I am afraid its not easy to predict or speculate, crystal ball and all that......

There's a decent video up on YT with a 56 going head to head with a 2060 in 25 games. I'd post it but I'm on my phone and wouldn't have a clue how.

When I bought my 64 I was expecting a storage heater with crap performance but I'm happy to say I was pleasantly wrong. It's been very good so far in everything but FO76 but then hey, it's FO76.
