From reading the link the OP provided, it looks like Corbyn is wanting to put an ally on the NEC, and shes probably his biggest fan.

She looks ill.
 
Sometimes I just feel a bit sorry for her, often placed in the spotlight and asked to comment when she is woefully out of her depth.

I will never forget her take on Mao's regime "on balance doing more good than harm".

I've only ever read negative things about her, and she comes across an utter moron in any interview I've ever seen, but she must have some redeeming quality, right? Can somebody enlighten me?

Well given that she was voted in as first Black Female MP in 1987 and has risen the ranks in the Labour Opposition as a hard left figure, she's probably pretty good at leveraging grievance and identity politics. I imagine her Top Trumps card gives her a solid 80 for Rabble Rousing, a 95 Identity Grievance but only 30 for Political Coherence.

Anyone who votes for Labour needs to be lobotomised. Diane Abbot is a complete shambles of a politician and only remains an MP because Labour won't deselect her. If she stood as an independent candidate she'd be on the dole queue.

I think her best moment was at the last election when she was asked how much it would cost to fund the extra police officers they promised in their manifesto.
