HELLO

So, i'm getting the new build itch but I am not really in the need for a new PC at all, such is life. I do have 2 setups currently as I flit between 2 houses.

Basically, they are:

The situation is thus: my girlfriend is looking at getting a PC, and i was thinking of donating some/all parts from my two builds to her and then maybe replace one with a new build or an upgrade.

Annoyingly complex in general, yeah.

Case-wise, i'm using a big ass tower and would like to move to a smaller solution, as would my girlfriend i believe due to space.

BASICALLY, I guess i'm looking at a hybrid build from my old parts, plus a new build/upgrade opportunity on the side.

I apologise.

depends on the budget , would sell both core parts (cpu, mobo, ram) and go for Ryzen/intel 6 core and ITX boards . keep everything else .

easier to sell core bundle then full systems

cheers both!

yeah, i think budget is my issue. i think i want to re-use as much as possible but i guess selling stuff solves that issue.

i guess i want to end up with a PC that's really good, a PC that isn't a world beater but will play stuff like league of legends at high fps, and then a PC for my girlfriend that she can start up on.

well aside from the 1060, what i suggested would be much better than your current intel if you was thinking that pc2(generally speaking) would be hers and then pc1 for yourself rather than you having 2 pcs and her one, just retain your 1070 and upgrade the rest. still say you better off getting a smaller board and case for that pc2 config unless she would require more grunt?
