Ive been looking at picking up a vega 64.

I have seen some good prices for a nitro and for a red devil. From what ive seen they are about equal, but are there any querks that I need to know about?

Go for the Nitro 64 first & the Red Devil second I doubt there's much in it though, I've owned the 3x8 pin limited edition Nitro & the Red Devil & they were both great cards. The only real advantage the 2x8 pin Nitro will have over the Red Devil is the stand, so make sure that's with it if you grab a Nitro.

If you going to watercool the reference. Otherwise Nitro or Red Devil.

really ? i always thought asus and gigabyte made better cards , this not the case with Vega 64?

No sapphire and Powercolor are best by miles, it’s not even a competition.

Asus throttles like crazy and Gigabyte cooler is poor.

Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro is the best 64 full stop follow close by Powercolor Devil, the other brands are miles behind.

Thanks to everyone for their input.

Guess its a good thing that you have a deal on the Nitro 64 then!

So for a £70 increase to get it new i think its the better option to have warrenty (+ those free games).

Thanks again to all!

Personally Sapphire & Powercolor are the best brands when comes to AMD cards by miles.
Asrock & XFX had no experience with so I cannot say.

However even those two are better than Gigabyte, MSI and especially Asus.

Is this still the case for the Asus card after they fixed that cooler issue?

Sapphire is a bespoke built card.
Asus is a parts bin special.

I'd buy Sapphire.

Balls I knew I should have gone for the sapphire, I only went for the Strix because of the extended warranty, it was slightly cheaper at the time and the fact my mate ended up with a bit of a dud sapphire.
