Computers crashing now struggling to reinstall windows . Advice help please

On the latest version 5f think it is just running this memtest at the moment have original 4 sticks in . Seems a slow process ?

Up to getting memory controller details

Yeah can be a bit of a slow process, might be a couple hours before it's done

Ok got 64gig ram originals (before Xmas catch ) in there atm .

Never done this before or needed to .

Thanks for your help so far really stressing me out use the computer for work and to run a load of virtual machines . Luckily there all on a separate drive out the way .

Stripped all the drives out thoug the m2 drive won’t boot now so using the ssd drive atm .

Oh I hope so didn’t sleep well last with it going around in my mind and been on it all morning till 2pm .

Out with some friends for dinner then back home looking at it . Just can’t work out why all of a sudden it’s happened. when it seemed fine.

No one around here I can even take it to , to try and get fixed do all my computer builds but this has puzzled me .

Definitely a RAM issue I'm afraid.

Try halving the amount of sticks you have in and running the test again.

Do you run any overclock on your RAM? (That includes having XMP enabled in BIOS)

No I run no overclocking at all everything is stock even cleared cmos last or this morning

Odd, as above try using only 2 sticks of RAM, if you get errors again try using the other 2 that you just took out.

Right took 2 sticks out and now can’t even boot it just keeps going in to power saving mode .

So took those 2 sticks and put the other 2 ( out of the original 4 ) and it’s done the same and won’t boot wtf ?

Guessing if I put all 4 in it will ?

Thanks

That's really unusual. Are the RAM sticks in DIMM's right next to each other or with a gap inbetween?

Say you have the 4 Motherboard Slots, try putting them in either slots 1&3, 2&4, 5&7 or 6&8, any change then?

Yeah got 2 modules working now just running a test again on the memory . Moved them around in the Dimms .

Sweet, fingers crossed we can get a couple sticks working so you can run the PC.

May be a warranty jobby.

Right those 2 sticks seemed ok got to pass 2 but had to switch off was going bed .

Am I right in thinking if it’s going to fail it’s going be seen on pass 1 ?

Will try the other sticks today got my lads birthday party later so will be on and off .

Thanks

It can sometimes fault on pass 3 but with the rate of bluescreens you've been having I'd imagine it'd show much earlier like the first test you ran :)

Put 6 sticks in booting up the os I installed quickly and it booted but went in to power saving mode for some reason ??

Now doing mem test with the 6 sticks while I’m out see where i am when I get back at worse I’ll reinstall windows again on the m2 drive
