AIBU and GDPR - Mumsnet hit by data breach

Bit of a storm in a teacup, frankly.

I hadn't clicked on the link til you said 46 users, had to check. LOL

There is probably a crappy B&B website in Skegness with more users than that.

Mumsnet has ~12 million users, so 46 breached accounts isn't even statistically significant.
 
OMG, they will find out I'm not really 28 year old Christine with 4 kids and two of them are transgender while the other two have a host of initials after their name.
 

None i'm afraid that I know. It consisted of members going over there making subtle troll relationship posts etc, some very hilarious if I recall then a bunch of them came on here to complain and got trolled more. I think mods had to put a stop to it. My memory is hazy though I just remember laughing my ass off at the whole thing.

That sounds hilarious. That sort of thing is what the internet was made for. Sad thing is, if you tried to have any harmless fun like that these days some terminally offended idiot would get the police involved and start a social media campaign to get this place shut down.
