Help me settle a Michael Jackson debate with a friend

MJ was phenomenally talented. I remember an account by one of the people recording the original Live Aid album. Said when Michael came in they gave him the music and he just hit this high C a cappello utterly pitch perfect and everyone was just standing around listening because every note was spot-on technically perfect.

i wouldn't associate w/ a michael jackson fan in the first place, lol.
i'm sure if the allegations in the film are untrue, mj's lawyers will be all over it.

I'd tell him to beat it.

It took 16 posts...

Take a long look at the Man in the Mirror and ask "do I want to be friends with this clown anyway?" It's a Bad basis for a relationship if he is so Black or White about every little thing

You know that he's dead, right? (Queue vague assertions about an estate without thinking it through).

One of the tracks from his second to last album:

He was then attacked by people in the media who claimed that the lyrics "they don't really care about us" were anti-Semitic.

Pretty sure that was in Bob Geldof's "Is that it". He described it as a truly preposterous amount of talent

One of my favorite assessments of MJ's life...

It is a bit old now and doesn't have the final ending but..

As commented on in a thread elsewhere. Talented and creative people are often (mostly even) tormented and disturbed individuals whose personal lives frequently range from the merely weird to the downright nasty!

This should not however detract from the work that they do and the pleasure that they bring to the world

:(

Yes - that was it. I remember that passage in particular.

What they did to Michael Jackson is a tragedy. Some people can't seem to abide innocence - they hate it more than anything.

or maybe he's guilty and thats what people can't stand - its certainly all very fishy

There's a list somewhere of material recovered from Michael Jackson's home. An official police record. Read that list and try convince yourself Michael Jackson did not at the very least have an attraction to kids. He may or may have acted upon that attraction, but what otherwise normal heterosexual man has images of nude boys stored alongside pornography?
