In praise of OCUK customer service.

Recived component including case for new build at 17:25 yesterday and unfortunately the case was damaged. Too late to contact customer service by phone so posted on the customer service part of the forum which meant I could add images.

Contacted OCUK this morning and very helpful guy arranged for the case to be replaced and the damaged one picked up.
Bonus for is I am getting the colour of case I wanted in the first place.

Nice to see decent customer service.
 
Oh, absolutely. Every time I've called up the phone is answered by someone who knows what they're talking about and treats you like an ordinary human being. OCUK's customer service is the reason I buy from them.

OCUK cant be beat in the C/S side of thing's. Thats why I don't mind paying a little more compared to competitors for peace of mind.
 
As part of the Don meet we got a tour of OcUK and I have to say... seeing it from inside really gives you a sense of how much they care. @Bailey and co really go the extra mile to understand what their customers want.

The staff we saw didn't look like drones slapping components together but rather like a team of enthusiasts with passion for building pretty machines. The 8Pack testing area was certainly.... special :eek::D
 
And it's always worth remembering that prices are pre-discounted for your convenience ;)

If I ever want to illustrate how good OCUK are, I tell people about this incident. I ordered some parts online and most of it was for a new build but one part was for repairing a different system. Someone called me up before it was dispatched and just checked I knew the part wasn't compatible with the motherboard I'd ordered. Yes, you could nickle and dime a saving here and there if you shopped between different suppliers but it's really not much and frankly not worth the hassle.

No matter how many times they suspend me for calling other posters idiots, they'll always have my custom because of that. :D
 
I think my praise was premature as I still await replacement case.
As I had not heard anything from DPD by late morning I decided to phone OCUK to be told that the alternative was not in stock, why I was not contacted is rather puzzling. But I chose another colour for the case and was told definitely in stock and could expect it today.

Decided to phone again today to be told once again that that case was out of stock and again no contact from OCUK as they have no idea when stock will arrive.

So third time lucky as I have been assured that there are two of yet another colour in stock but obviously will not arrive until Monday.

Not the first time I have noticed issues with stock as on selecting components, and showing in stock, after adding them too my basket and then going to the payment section one or two were out of stock yet still showing as in stock on product page.

I am just unlucky I guess.
