Hi all, hi forum. On beginning my first Thread i would like say sorry for my language, english isn't my native language. I'm not pc newbie but need advice more experienced users. What i got now :

Monitor : Asus VC279H 27"
Case : Fractal design focus G
Mobo : Asrock z270 pro 4
Cpu : Pentium g4560 (i know massive bottleneck)
Psu : Evga 600 bq
Ram : G skill trident 16gb 3200MHz
System ssd : Samsung evo 970 250gb mvme
Game ssd : Samsung evo 1tb sata 3
Bits and bobs ssd : Old ssd plextor 128 gb
Gpu : RX 580 8 gb nitro +

Lets beginning story : time for upgrade or build from scratches new 1440p gaming rig. Don't like buy bits and bobs from credit card or similar cash lenders companies, so i always save money then spending. I'm split this build for 5 phases :

Phase 1 : Ram and Ssd's has been replaced already (DONE)
Phase 2 : New mobo and Cpu
Phase 3 : New PSu
Phase 4 : New GPU
Phase 5 : New case and others bits
Phase 6 : New 27" 1440p 144 monitor

Now i'm stuck on phase 2, and have massive dilemma ryzen or i7 / i9 and mobo. Targets are smooth playing on 1440p resolution on max details in AAA games like Metro, Anthem, and be good enough for 2-3 years. Bugdet for this 650 pounds. Could u guys help me , make right choice. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

Why on earth did you go for a G4560 in a Z270 motherboard? Your easiest upgrade path would be to try and pick up a cheap (probably second hand) i7 7700k which would just drop into your current motherboard and then overclock it. Don't pay too much though or it would be better to switch to AMD's Ryzen platform. Intels cpu's are grossly overpriced and that is just the same with used cpu's as well. Your psu isn't that bad and at least it has all of it's 600w available on it's 12v rail so that's a good thing. It also has Japanese caps although I can't find any mention of what make they are. For the gpu see if you can pick up a second hand GTX1080ti or take a look at the AMD Vega 64 although they need quite a bit of tweaking to get the best out of them. I would upgrade to a more powerful psu if you go for a Vega 64 as well because your current one probably isn't going to have enough power.

agree with this. this upgrade would last at least couple years, as you said you'd want it to.

Hi sorry for delayed response. Last year I swapped my ps4 pro for this rig, of course change ram, ssd’s and gpu i had before 1050 before. Mainly used for Wow, was good enough, till I felt i sunk and spent to much time in game. So i stopped playing Wow and upgrade time arrives. Last night bought second hand 7600k, hope so will be good for now. I’m wait till June, see what Amd bring on market. Guys my question is whitch cooler will fit i my case, i will overclock cpu.

Any 165mm or under air cooler, including Noctua NH-D15S (the D15 with two fans won't fit with your RAM and D15S is typically just one degree warmer anyway), BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4. Both of them will also include mounting for AMD in case you change platform.

Which one depends on what CPU you may go for later on. If it has a lot of cores and you like overclocking, might as well grab a very good cooler like the ones above.
