So i currently have a ASUS Vega64 and been looking at the Palit RTX 2070 Super Jetstream

I'm just feed up with the heat and noise of the Vega64

Sounds like the Palit RTX 2070 Super Jetstream is a cool running card compared to the vega 64

Does the card work ok with free-sync monitors now ?

Performance on both is similar, on Asus Vega 64 try the VRM mod, the Strix issue is typically the VRM's run hot and throttle the card heavily.

2070 Jetstream is an awesome cooler, quiet and cool running.
NVIDIA are compatible with freesync now, but only a small handful.

My MSI 2080 Gaming X Trio idles at around 30c and gaming between 50-60c. Imo thats excellent cooling. Have a look at MSI's offering of the 2070s. They're new cooling solution for the 20 series cards is brilliant!

As suggested, can you undervolt it, and reduce temps? The 2070 really isn't much of an upgrade but a very big expense.

Do you have the reference or the Strix Vega 64?

Could just undervolt it, and remove the fan shroud and the fans, and place silent 2 x 120/140mm fans against the heatsink. See Mod 3 here so that the weight of normal fans doesn't pull on the heatsink. You'd need this too:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £6.69 (includes shipping: £2.74)

If you wouldn't like how it looked, I totally understand. But if you don't mind, and you're happy with the Vega64's actual performance, it's cheaper than buying a new card.

Done this with a fair few cards. Works wonders.
