ive RMA'd my Vega 64 and i am currently using my sons 4gb 470 and i am so impressed by this little card, i was hitting between 42-52fps at 1440p on the division and well over 90fps on overwatch.

It has certainly made me look at the 6gb Nvidia cards in a different light.
 
the 1650 could be an interesting card at the right price and performance... If it gets close to 1060 3gb or RX 570 performance without needing additional power, it would be a pretty amazing card to pair with a 2nd hand desk top for a cheap powerful 1080p gaming machine. Much like the 1050ti, but with a bunch more oomph

I've also straddled this memory line with a GTX 970 at 3440x1440, and was amazed at the efficiency of the drivers to be able to run at 3.5 - 4 GB. Then you push it one notch over with antialiasing/textures, and the performance collapses, like the 2060 did at 4 K vs the GTX 1070 in Wolfenstein something or other (not familiar with those games).

If Nvidias big shout this generation is 'more efficient use of memory! less is moar!' then fine, but it's not. The 6 GB VRAM in the 2060 series and lower is blatantly about railroading potential buyers into the 2070+ if they want the reassurance of 8GB of memory. Except they're arrogant enough to pretend other 8GB cards aren't available / already commonplace.

Maybe it's all psychological and VRAM is utterly irrelevant, but it'll take Nvidia a while to program us with that information any time soon as we're addicted to decent VRAM.

Did you watch the Vid? Seems you have your mind set that 6GB isn't enough and even when shown, you are still not having it. I run a 2080Ti and have seen 10GB VRAM being shown as 'used' but the reality is, it is buffering that and really only needs 4/5/6GB for smooth/stutter free gaming.

This is nvidia they are not interested low pricing

There off with the Nvidia cards as well a 2070 doesn't beat a 1080ti unless you are playing one of the few RTX titles with the feature enabled which the 1080ti cant handle sans the extra cores but with which the 2070 doesn't exactly end up on a great result with in the what.... 3? Games that currently support this currently rather lacklustre feature

I made that post about a month ago so can't say I remember if I did watch it (I'd hope I did). What I do remember seeing was a German guy showing the 2060 and 1070 running side by side in Wolfenstein something-or-other at 4K IIRC, and the 1070 was running miles faster than the 2060 at the same settings (I think it was like 48 fps vs 30 fps). That certainly made an impression on me regarding VRAM.
