I love the look of this Samsung S10+ and I keep thinking getting one and selling my iPhone XS Max. But is it a wise move I just don’t know. I am a apple fan boy but apple just seem to be behind on software and hardware these days.

Android I just think it might be too much of a long winded software but many people adjust easily. But wonder how many gone back to apple

Look forward to some information

Well for starters you're going to lose the Apple integration with your other devices.

What makes you think they're behind on software? Android is more powerful and flexible, but it has always been thus. Apple is more about fewer features done well, security, and smooth performance. As of now they still have not been overtaken in this respect.

So you would say iOS is still better just wished they accepted apps where we can add things

For me personally, no! I own a Pixel 2 XL. I could have got an iPhone free from work, so I tried one for 2 days, but in the end I just prefer Android. This is despite me owning an iPad Pro! Its probably just what I'm used to though. iOS is a very good OS in my opinion, just a bit too restrictive to me. But it really depends what you want to do; are there things you would like a phone to do now that you can't do on your iPhone?

Well I’ve always like the way you can have what you want on your home screen like different themes or this not the case

But everything else I can do everything

Yeah thats one thing I like about Android. I want the home screen to look the way I want it to, not the way Apple decides. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with the iOS springboard launcher but there's little opportunity to personalise things. Among other things that keep me on Android are widgets, superior notifications, side loading apps (without rooting/jailbreaking), proper multi-tasking, greater choice of hardware, and so on. I'm also invested in the Google ecosystem on the whole so obviously a google phone has better integration there though I wouldn't say it was a total deal breaker on iOS either.

By all means give it a go, as long as you're comfortable with what you'll be losing, and give the device a month or so before you decide whether you like it, then go for it!

I think it's better to wait until 5G is a thing, then buy a new phone then.

Could be waiting a while. I know they're starting to trial it now but they've not even got the best out of 4G yet let alone 5G. You could be waiting a long time for 5G to really make a difference and by then the first crop of phones will likely be as good as obsolete anyway.

As always though to each their own.
