I been having a loss of power in my Honda CRV the past few months.

It only seems to happen when I leave work to go home at night

I work on a steep hill, it only happens for a second or two then picks up speed again.

I try and drive aggressively and normally..... still the same.

Took it to Honda, they said they plugged it in and couldn’t see any faults.

They should drive it really and is becoming annoying for a new car.

Car has only 8k miles since last April.

Any help?

They should indeed drive it, I’d be gong back to the dealer and suggest they give you a nice courtesy car so they can drive it in the morning when it’s cold (assuming this is when the issue arises)

You say steep, how steep?

A perception of loss of power going up a steep hill is nothing unusual but this sounds more like a specific issue at the same place...
Have you experienced the issue elsewhere?

That’s the thing.

It doesn’t happen anywhere else.

It’s fairly steep, but the Black Country is full of roads like this.

It was quite dangerous the other day because it dipped for a few more seconds and I didn’t brake and the chap behind me wondered what I was doing.

Have you tried to replicate the problem elsewhere? - park on a steep hill, leave the car to cool properly, and then see if it does it again?

You say Black Country, fair doo's but it isn't exactly Cumbria in terms of hills, I think you should be straight back to the dealer and telling them to identify the issue, sounds like an injector (tends to flag up on hills, under load) but without proper investigation your somewhat clutching at straws..

Could it be the auto box ....I had a Seat auto that would lose drive for a second or 2 ...but when it lost drive it felt like I was using the brakes .....then split second later the gearbox brain would put the right
Problem showed up on diagnostic machine at the garage though....needed a new brain ....only done about 12,000 miles
