having a bit of a nightmare,
Has anyone got this motherboard as I was just finishing off putting my new build together,
And realised I didn’t have the right leads from my psu,
Anyways after searching google for the last few hours and asking in the power supply forum about getting a replacement lead for my Corsair psu.

The MB has a 8 pin 12v and a 4 pin 12v
if I was too use just the 8 pin 12v would this work ok?
I only have (4 pin 12v lead x2)which I can together and make a 8 pin.
will this be ok?
I’m really hoping somebody has this motherboard

What is the 4 pin used for any ideas? in the manual the 4 pin socket is down as cpu pwr 2,
if I don’t use this will this will this affect me in anyway

Job of that 4 pin connector is marketing scam.
Would need very heavy overclocking for 8 pin connector to not be enough.
And likely half the mobos with that 4 pin connector have too cheap skimped CPU VRM for reaching that level.

Thank you, I did see something about it saying it was for ln2 overclocking but thought surly it can’t be
not on a 120 quid motherboard anyway lol

Its because MSI went super overboard with the power delivery on a lot of their boards, I don't mind so long as they aren't charging a huge premium on it and hey better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I do wonder though if the rumors of 16 core AM4 CPUs turn out to be real, it may be that suddenly they become very useful :P
