Before you send me off to amazon, hear me out. Has anyone found one that doesn't flake out after a month or so? I've gone through 3 in as many months and sorting the wheat from the chaff online is bloody impossible. So anyone here got one that they use daily that has stood the test of time? Where can I get it?!

Thanks!

I've had no end of trouble with these adaptors(even Googles stock one), But i took a plunge on the Razor one. I got it from eBay because Razor charge a fortune for it. Had no issues for 2 months now. With all the others they would cut out audio after a few weeks on my Pixel 2XL.

Cheers that's what I'm after!

E: bloody hell £18! Still, if it lasts two months that's roughly what I'd spend on any of the supposedly high quality tat from amazon over the same period

£18 is better than the £38 razer wanted. They said it was going to be 4 days for delivery but I got it next day.

The wire is longer than any other adapter I've used too which is good.

Been using the stock Google one with my Pixel 3 for the last few months. I use it about 10 times a month and have had no issues.

Right, I think I'll give the HTC one a go because I'm tight, and if that let's me down then I'll have to bite the bullet and go with the razer one. I just would be sickened if I spent nearly £20 on it and it died after a couple months anyway.

What do you use this adaptor for ?

Can't you just plug the headphones into the mobile phone 3.5mm socket
Lot of devices removing the 3.5mm as they move forward :( Thought I could steer clear of the issue but then I bought an ipad pro and forgot that the damn thing hasn't got one unlike the standard ipads. So I'm looking around at bluetooth headsets and they're all overpriced garbage from the few I've tried. The adapter would be an option if the wire wasn't so flimsy on most of them.

Yeah, my p20 Pro has no 3.5mm jack. I'd have no issue if the cables didn't crap out so often.
I thought it was only the latest iphones (iPhone X onwards) that had removed the 3.5mm socket,
I didn't realise there was also other brands that had removed it as well..:(

Everyone seems to be doing it now in order to sell you their own brand wireless airpod clones and whilst Samsung have retained the headphone port in the S10 they have also begun selling their own wireless airpod devices (can't recall the name).

I believe Samsung are the last android manufacturer left barring the various Chinese ones that have a multitude of different models. Even OnePlus have turned :(

LG is sporting their 3.5mm with fancy DAC.

That’s excellent news, I’ve read a lot of positive comments about their DAC’s in the past, I just hope they stick to their guns regarding the socket for future models. I truly hope we can get better wireless solutions than what we have now for future devices.

it's just a pity their cameras don't have such a high reputation, so it ends up being a high res music player,
you need to have a car unit with an aux in too, so that you can use the LG superior dac, there, too.

the new iphonex (enhanced 5.0) bluetooth with their chip+earbuds are giving bitstream playback of aac, without re-encode to aptx, that 'sounds' good - unique atm ?

if you want full headphones then do you care if they are wired ?
wireless versus bluetooth is imposing too high a power/battery demand on the receiver, so probably why we don't have airplay headphones, for casting.
