Tower + Monitor build - £1200 budget

@tamzzy

Guessing it hasn't got official G-sync cert ?

@davy89

Check online to see G-sync support

Have an Aorus myself and is unofficially support. Can see this in Nvidia control panel it's detected but nonofficial yet. Hopefully This monitor would be the same, if they are the same panel....

It's will take months for Nvidia to roll out all those monitors that can actually support it.. like for MSI, all their monitors are fine. But will take a long time to have this official

I didn’t like the design of the PX.
it is a bit garish, i agree.
but the stand itself is worth a good £30-40 if you were to get it aftermarket.
and the PX G2 is definitely freesync2. the FX uses the same panel, but i'm not sure if it's just freesync or freesync2.

Just spoken to OCUK advised the one I’ve picked is Gsync compatible where the other one isn’t, so I’ll stick with the less garish one. Thanks for the suggestion though Tamzzy.

:)

Im sure it will get support - will have to take a snap shot at mine to show Users what its looks like when Nvidia detects the monitor is compatible but driver hasnt been updated to accept- had me a little confused at first. but either screen will do you fine!

should fine that once driver is installed, should auto enable - unlike mine

should come with DP cable - has to be DP for G-sync to work...

freesync on AMD can be either or both, nvidia is Display Port only

if a monitor supports freesync 2, it'll have "gsync" support even though it isn't certified. also freesync 2 has low framerate compensation.

Another question - do these come with the cable to get 144Hz?
should come with a display port cable.
nvidia cards only support freesync via display port

All built and working brilliant - booted first time, windows installed and off I went. Not bad considering I've not built for a lot of years.

Happy with the monitor, g-sync is showing as enabled automatically so gather it's working?

Yep ! With Freesync monitors running G-sync, just have to make sure Freesync is allows enabled via screen/software .

Get some snaps up !

still need to sort out cable management (it's all rammed in the back at the mo and down the side).

Actually alright - previous case (believe it was a corsair) I built with a few years back was definately of better quality/easier to cable manage but it's definately a nice case, wouldn't hesitate recommending it for the money.
