It will indeed, however they didn't need to soil the Puma name by turning what was a sporty coupé into a wet blanket. They could have just as easily called it the Ford Ocelot, it's not as if they are going to gain market share from someone reliving their teenage years by wanting back into a Puma. And they'll print money. We might not like it but like the Juke, Ecosport, that Vauxhall thing, these will sell in droves.
Ford don't really have a small SUV in their lineup (Thinking GLA, CX3, Q2 etc)

What's next, the Ford Capri pickup truck?
I don't know what car manufacturers are doing, you seen the Mitsubishi Eclipse?

Soiling the puma name?![]()
That's worse that the ruination of the Nissan Pulsar.
Yes? I take it you've never driven one, they were great fun. Heck the Racing Puma (as much as I used to make fun of Sam for owning one) was utterly superb.
Nope just remember seeing them around and thinking they looked horrendous. After googling the 1.7l looks like it could be quite good fun.
Back in ye ol' days of yore it was always very simple.
"Hi which track car pls, cheap, fun, loads of parts etc"
"RWD? MX5. FWD? Puma".
Good fun cars but you could almost hear them rotting around you which I guess is why they're relatively rare nowadays.
Had no idea, I just remember seeing them around looking knackered or been driven on school runs. I take back my previous statement!
Oh sorry I wasn't trying to be a smartass, was just pointing out that 10 years ago they were the go-to car for cheap track thrills. Stripped out they weighed as much as a paperclip so were cheap on tyres too.
