The release of Balloons not only stupid but it pollutes the environment and kills wildlife...

Worldwide ban on balloons :mad:

Just watched my local news and the beaches are littered with them...and some where from released from Germany....

I mean not to be a killjoy.... but I sort of agree.

We all need to become more responsible in regards to our consumption.

It's a small thing but part of a larger picture, we can't really continue on our current path.
 
Filling balloons with helium should be banned. The world is running out of the stuff and we still allow people to fill up ******* party balloons with it :/
 
Meh, a few years back they were sending V1 & V2 rockets over with devastating consequences, I’d say it’s progress that it’s just balloons these days...... ;)

I've heard this point of view before. But I have also heard that the helium used in balloons is helium which has already gone through an MRI machine, and can't (for whatever reason) be used for that purpose again. So it's a use of a waste product.

I have no idea if that latter is really true though.

I know the difference but was just wondering why humans get stimulation from letting balloons off...do you ?

Even fireworks bore me...

The highest.purity helium is in liquid form and is used to make computer chips and superconducting magnets (like those used in MRI machines). Low purity helium is in gas form and often contains other gases as well like co2. That's the stuff they put in balloons.
