Hi all
ive been pondering over what car to get for ages now and keep putting it off. But my old Accord is now making funny noises and with the rust issues and the fact its only worth £500 at best i feel the time has come for a change.
I would have liked a 6 cylinder petrol or something like a 3l v6 diesel bmw or audi but for the money i can spend im again into substantially older cars.
So i am resigned to being more sensible and getting something relatively new, and the Mondeo has good reviews.
I am wanting an estate, which partially limits options. For example I only found 9 petrols for sale up to £10k on autotrader, and only two of those were the 2.0l ecoboost. Im aware the 2.2 is the pick of the diesels but again there are not many around.
So my question is what to aim for. Shall i spend the whole £9k and get the mk5 in pretty standard 2.0l tdci zetec or titanium format, or shall I spend less, around £5-6k, and get the mk4 or mk4.5 model? What trim offers best value and what do i need to avoid? My mileage is around £12k a year.
Thanks.
