It loaths me to sell it as thats a 50% loss even though i purchased it in 2017. I've heard vulken will be a thing eventually but if i put it in my system what use could i get out of it? My only other reasoning would be to thrown it into another build with components left from upgrade and pass it on to my daughter to use but shes only 9 and uses her laptop or smart TV for endless Youtube binging.

Sell it tbh.

You'll stil get £200 ish for it. Better than trying to find a use for it and it losing more value.

I would but the usual avenues are just too stressful. I listed on a place that has a tree in its name. All i got was scammers in the first hour so i took it down. Pondering to keep it but as i say really not much use for it that i can see.

If you have strong views on Brexit post away in speakers corner and the members market will be available to you. Facebook is another avenue you could try.

Haha am too chill for politics. Its taken me 8yrs to get to the post count am at now but i do hear MM is worth it so hopefully might make it there end of year!

I think i will wait for 3% seller fees on fleabay just missed out on easter one. I have enough components to put together a build so might be worthwhile me buying myself a new PC case and putting this all together and selling as a unit.

You should net more by selling it as parts rather as a complete pc.

I had to re-read this as I thought you were having a pop at him with regard to Brexit. Then I realised you just meant you can get 1000 posts in about 30 minutes if you post in GD forum :)

I made a post once about allowing users who have been members for x amount of time to be able to post in MM it got bombed within a couple of mins.. Guess that one won't be going to the board :D

I see the point though. Stops abuse. Just keep contributing i guess. Not a bad old place to be anyway.

Join in a few more discussions (but don’t be a spammer!) and get MM access , I wouldn’t sell electronics anywhere else and I wouldn’t use eBay to sell even if they paid me to do so, full of scammers and chancers, been nearly burned too many times.

I am getting messages where they offer payment via paypal for the full amount without trying to haggle. Plus they inc a shipping fee not asked for. I mean it smells fishy from the get go. Just wondering how they get around Paypal though if they should make the payment. Surely paypal will side with the person selling?

I’ve had similar, whilst it’s possible somebody is willing to pay shipping that’s not asked for I’d say it’s far more likely something to hook you in, don’t know how they get around PayPal (although I don’t think you can reverse a PayPal gift transaction which is probably what they request you do) either way, if it sounds iffy then that’s where you ignore them no matter how tempting....

I recently upgraded from my 1070 and sold it through Facebook Marketplace. Had it on there for just under 2 weeks at £200 and finally sold it for £180 when I dropped the price. Taking into account I paid £290 for it a couple of years back, I though that was quite reasonable.

Hope this helps!

Bought mine at £400 when they first launched i have a hard time letting go of high value things and losing money :D

But don't really see a point in keeping it now my daughter is too young to for that level of performance and it will just get trashed somehow so probably better to someone who will use it.

I'm in a similar boat here with a 980ti I have. I could stick it on fleabay but I just don't trust it anymore after all the horror stories I've read on here!

Simple once got say not delivered paypal sides more with the buyer so anything expensive send special delivery type so signed for and recorded cover your rear.
In all the time been on flea bay only ever had a few items not delivered one or two from China but they sorted promptly others from here guy thought was having him on as had sold some togs which had had some low lifes trying it on but explained was needing the actual item for my bike so was ok in the end but it never did arrive.
Other from some ar8e wipe buying some fishing gear off them wanted it paid paypal and it was here anytime then changed it need to let me know!!!
Was tempted to go and take there front door down etc but mate talked me out of it!

But ive bought loads of bits from there i always try to pay ASAP some done as it ended. 99% of my pc came via there.
If selling always send properly if include post ie free you don't pay % for it but do if plus pp you can check there address/details via paypal and on Electral regeister

Don't do as gifts as not covered
