Even harder now biostar has actually shown off a fully designed x570 board.. heatsink is a bit naff and active cooling.. indeed it's all in-house controllers but still...

- MINI ITX - basically smaller form factor - resulting in a considerably smaller case. Still an excellent B450 motherboard
but no wi-fi built in(same brand and even better VRMs - as needs them in an iddy-biddy case). All other components are the same - but card choice will be limited to the mini. So same performance but all nestled in a smaller, compact case - but less room for expansion (but doubt this is an issue). Oh, and @tamzzy will be helping you with cable management as this is your first build... #justsaying - Full ATX - midi tower - larger case (compare sizes) - choice of card size (the larger being quieter) and the possibility of placing a larger cooler on the CPU in the future (again quieter running). And being full ATX more room for expansion and same for case - but again, probably not an issue.
- X570 - nothing to do with your build - but very interesting to tamzzy and I and @orbitalwalsh's timing was perfect.

Look, seriously now, this is messing with my head! Should I go for a Mini ITX? It's size may convince the wife that it's not costing a lot. If so, which would be the best MOBO?
Up to you - does the size of the unit matter?
Personally, i only build ITX builds if the room/space requires it - otherwise i give myself (others) room for expansion...
Have you actually looked at the size of a MINI ITX board and case? Don't confuse it with the MATX build earlier. There's a reason i joked about @tamzzy guiding you through cable management - the build may/will be trickier due to size constraints...

indeed, it was all in jest.
mini itx can be a wee bit trickier to build in (as a rule of thumb) as the case dimensions are generally smaller.
go with the ATX build listed. it's pretty solid.
