I get this regularly with 2 dell laptops. Work hate me as conatsntly hassling them because somethings gone wrong.

The best one is when it says will check for a soloution! Err err (in Thailand it means thick/stupid)You can't get on the net as you have crashed stupid piece of junkware!

It gets written to the WER log I think, then checked against an online DB the next time Windows runs.

Typically these are caused by... bad ram, driver, firmware, software, hard drive, PSU.
