Labour Party signed me up to volunteer?

Got into the office this morning, fired up my laptop and checked my work emails to find several from the local Labour party thanking me for registering to take part in their event on the 23rd and thanks for supporting them blah blah blah.

Anyone that knows me know the only support i would be giving Labour would be supporting the deportation of Corbyn to joins his Hamas mates in the west bank.

Is it possible they could have taken my details from the electoral register and signed me up themselves to make their numbers look better?

If they have done this how can I kick up a fuss other than screaming GDPR at them?

I suggest checking the sender and it's origin correctly

As its a work email address, ask IT to look into it. Could be workmates trolling you.

First thing I did was check that and they seem legitimate and not spoofed.

Corbyn in power would be disastrous, Abbott in a ministerial position would
be a very bad mistake, but having McDonnell in one would be a catastrophe.

Sounds like there is a bit of a flaw in the sign-up process if you can just enroll a victim up like @Diddums has. Do they not do a confirmation email link thing with the usual 24 hour expiry so that you prove you own the email address registered ?

No idea, but my victim, who I should add is vehemently against labour, to the point where I've watched him shout others down and seriously lose his **** over them, is door knocking from 10am tomorrow

I wish I could be there to see his reaction. It'd be an instant Youtube gold for sure, he's a rather temperamental, explosive, whiny, sulky, take-everything-too-seriously kind of person, this will be bugging him for weeks
