Is there anything similar to the Lenovo P2 nowadays? ie astonishing battery size and life, great screen, a medium size (not an ipad replacement) for £200 to £300? Thanks.

Well to be honest with you, i would point you towards the Moto (Motorola) g7 power as being anything remotely like the p2 that is.

So i for one would recommend the g7 power to be considered by your self.

I'm sure lltfdaniel will come along shortly to tell you about the Moto G7 Power :D

Yes, i was cringing before i even replied to this thread, but why not in all honesty.

He wants to know anything like the p2 well the moto g7 power battery life is good it is one of those phones that has one of the longest battery lifes that i know of from review websites.

To be fair, it is possibly the best candidate if battery life is a top priority. There is also the Samsung M30 that comes with usual AMOLED, double camera + depth sensor on the back and a 5000 mAh battery. It's made for the Indian market though so while you can get it on eBay for around £225, you won't get any official support in the UK.

Then there is the samsung a50 which cost around 300 quid, that also has a good battery life but i think not as good as the moto g7 power.

For anyone who wants the one of the best battery life then you cannot go wrong with g7 power.

It is incredibly easy to achieve 24 hours of last full charge and for me it last's the whole day even with the screen on time ( sot ) a full day yes.

Regarding sot or screen on time about 8 to 14 hours screen on time which is more than enough time for me that is to last a full day and i only charge this phone once a day instead of 2 or 3 times a day regarding my other phone but given that away to people on this forum.

So yea i did a personal test and got 14hrs and 9 minutes, anyways i absolutely buy this > https://www.tomsguide.com/us/moto-g7-power-battery-life,news-29796.html 15.5 hours sot.

You can get 3 days of last full charge regarding picture below.

So yea if battery life is your number one priority then the moto g7 power deserves to be put on the map especially for under 200 quid.

Yeah i would not be surprised if i found out again about moto g7 power as having one of the best smartphone battery life you see, it is right up there in ranking regarding best battery life's of all smartphones.

The reason why i have ranted on about the moto g7 power, well it defiantly has one of the best battery life's out of all smartphones in the world.

Not when it is compared to non smartphones battery life that is.

So what can you expect, well the phone at the very least will last 8-9 hours screen on time of hardcore usage with everything at 100% utilisation from 100% battery to 5% battery life or 12-15.5 hours of moderate use of screen on time.

Moderate use means average use like streaming youtube for hours upon hours on end and or surfing the web or listening to amazon music and the like and or checking email or using the camera and playing a game many people i believe with real use will fall under moderate use.

It varys with what app your using on the phone though so yeah i for one use liveme app on the phone and this app is a known battery life sucker i can only get about 9-9.5 hours sot with the app from 100% battery to 5% battery, 1 hour of liveme app uses 10% of the battery.

Or if you leave the phone on standby with little or no use then expect 3-4 day's and or a bit more.

From the morning to evening and at the end of the day i have something like 50-55% battery life left.

Yeah so 21% for roughly 4 hours of youtube means from 100% charge to 16% charge gives me 16 hours of youtube, whey!

16 hours of youtube takes away 84% of the battery life and thus 84 - 100 is 16%.

:).

Edit youtube battery usage does vary by quite a bit.

for 4 hours it would have used up 28% not 21% so yeah.

I must admit, battery life usage of youtube does vary by quite a bit.

So far,

19% for 2 hours and 39 mins verses 21% for 3 hrs and 56 minutes.

I've yet to find a phone that can match the specs of the P2 for around the same money.
The 7 power has an inferior screen for a start.
The P2 really did punch well above it's weight, only the camera let it down.
Mine is still going strong

Yea i totally agree with you, but the 7 power does match the p2 for battery life well almost.

The moto g7 power comes third here, but still the g7 power holds it's own regarding one of those smartphones that has a nice battery life out of all smartphones i reckon but not the longest though but shame the p2 is discontinued.

But for under £200 i think well the g7 power will be hard to be beat for battery life under the £200 cost category for smartphones that cost under 200 quid.

But don't get me wrong but many review websites rank the 7 power as number one for battery life.

Sites like these below.

You have to be subjective when you come across reviews like that.

https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/test-centre/mobile-phone/best-battery-life-phone-3679230/

https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/b...-life-which-smartphone-is-the-longest-lasting

https://www.tomsguide.com/us/smartphones-best-battery-life,review-2857.html

https://www.expertreviews.co.uk/mobile-phones/1402071/best-phone-battery-life < this one ranks the 7 power as third and post above, well same website for the image i put on this thread which is post number 10 > https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/32752206 .

But i seem to think there would be many more websites ranking the moto g7 power as the best, well maybe the best for under 200 quid but not the best smartphone battery life of all time and or when compared to every smartphone in existent.
