MSI RTX 2080 Ti pink artefacts on screen, after RMA for the same issue !

I bought it from a MSI reseller that sells returned cards, they have no more stock, so it's either RMA or a refund... I'd rather RMA to be honest due to the cards price.

Yeah, just would be a way of guaranteeing you land a different batch, or card. Hope it works out for you one way or another.
 
Artifacting like that has always been memory issues even way back when I was RMAing my first graphics card 15 years ago.

These companies that ship them back without real testing are bloody infuriating.

If they tested every card they'd end costing a grand or more.
 
Just a quick update, MSI contacted me this morning and they have arranged to collect the card at their cost tomorrow morning, sadly I did not have time today to reinstall Windows.
it wont be windows mate, they just either didn't test it properly or changed a memory chip that was faulty and another failed. Hope you get it sorted ASAP

UPS collected the card today......so fingers crossed this time they will either fully swap the unit as per my request with the RMA team or hopefully fully fix the card! I'm guessing it will be around ten days before I see the card again...
 
My replacement card arrived yesterday, did not have time to test it, just installed it into one of my machines, going to put it on test for a few hours looping Heaven benchmark.

The card was swapped for a different unit via MSI, so hopefully, this one will work longer than 2 hours.

Good luck. Not bad turnaround time.

Yes it was pretty good for an RMA, I presume due to the card exchange rather than repair, it happily been running Heaven benchmarking program for nearly 4 hours , If it makes it to around 5pm ish , then I shall take it home and fit it in my gaming system, so far nice temps 59 - 63 degrees on average ( although its fully air-conditioned in my office)
