How many USB C ports do modern AMD motherboards come with?

My current computer only has one USB C port on the front which is used by my external SSD, but I'd like to have two or even three more ports for various reasons. Is that likely to be possible with the new AMD motherboard coming out for the 3000 series AMD CPUs?

I'm pretty happy with most things on my computer. The only problems I have are about expandability which is why I'm waiting for the 3000 series Threadripper CPUs. Hopefully, they'll have loads of USB C ports with Thunderbolt.

Most boards only seem to have 1 or 2 USB-C connections at best and still a good few without any direct USB-C implementation at all.

It is a bit strange in a way - there are AMD boards coming that have crazy connectivity and silly numbers of USB 3 type A and even enterprise level networking, etc. but still only 1 or 2 USB C headers/rear ports.

Maybe there are some USB A to USB C hubs? I'll have to hunt around and see if I can find any.

Unfortunately the options for multi ouput USB C hubs are limited with lots of limitations on the 1-2 devices that do offer multiple USB C outputs from one USB C - apparently no one has released a good controller IC yet for that use.

I've never looked at a type A to C convertor.
